How Do I Make Sure My Wine Bottles Are Being Stored Correctly?

1. Make sure to regularly check on the temperature inside your wine wall to make sure that your wine is being kept at the correct temperature. The perfect temperature for wine is 12°C for red, 8°C for white and 5°C for Champagne and dessert wine.
2. Make sure that your wine wall isn't facing any windows where UV rays could project onto the bottles disrupting the ageing process.
3. Consider the placements of your radiators, and make sure that there aren't any directly next to the wine wall. This can jeopardise the temperature inside the wine wall.
4. Pay close attention to the humidity levels inside your wine wall. Too low of a humidity level can lead to stickers peeling off the bottles - and in the worst case, the cork drying out and oxygen seeping into the bottle spoiling the taste of the wine.
5. Ensure that your bottles are being stored on their side so that the wine can stay in contact with the cork to also avoid the cork drying out.
